LETTER GAME

Tagging is something I’m doing for the first time on my blog. It seems interesting to write and even tag someone else and know about them. I’ve been tagged by Mr. Mohan, whose blog is not one of my favorites but the one favorite @www.mohanbn.com.

As a brief note I would like to share how I started to write in this blog. My friend Dinakkar, who works for Accenture, is my chat friend too. It was his suggestion to start with a blog, as whatever I discussed on chat kept him excited to chat more as every Monday I used to come up with such new stories recently. And not to forget Mr. Mohan’s blog is been an inspiration to write as I’ve been its regular reader from months, though I started it late… Thanks to you both.

I’ve been tagged by Mr. Mohan and the details have been copied from his blog.
*As always, here is a list of ground rules for this game - It is certainly fun doing this exercise. Copy the following questions to your own note, erase my answers, enter yours, and tag your friends. Use the first letter of your name to answer each of the following questions. They have to be real and nothing made up! THE UNTOLD SAGA....

I’ve always been happy posting here, going by the comments I got for my first couple of blogs. All good feedbacks, indeed. My uncle told, my presentation is good and keeps the interest intact till the end. Thanks for it. He also mentioned people might make fun of my carelessness. I agree, but the facts cannot be ignored, and I'm going to respect his suggestion of writing serious things too.

If you guys enjoyed my earlier posts for the funny side of it, this time I've got something serious for you. I want to share an incident which was neither funny nor something you want to go through. I’ve hardly discussed this with any of my best friends for that matter.

I’ve my own bike DIO since December and from the day I got it, I've never taken a bus or even walked to the nearby shop. I guess this happens with most of the lots who get addicted to their vehicle. Ever since my evenings have been more colorful, as I can get home early and after refreshing myself I can even go for a ride on the nearby streets, with my favorite music plugged firmly in my ears.

On one such evening after a ride, while I was parking my DIO, I got a call from one of my friends whom I’d not spoken for months. So instead of getting inside home, I went on a stroll to the street next to mine. I was so indulged in the discussions that I didn’t even notice a boy rushing next to me on a bike at the fastest possible speed. I kept my concentration still on talkings as for me it was my friend who was important.

Just a minute later the same guy, took a U turn, rushed back and hit me badly and vanished in thin air. Though I screamed and scolded him, the next moment I was on ground in pain. Thanks to the aunty who took me inside her home so I could relax for sometime before going back home.

This incident happened on a street which is adjacent to the street where I live. I still can’t come out of the fear of going alone on streets. These incidences make girls so weak and make us realize, however strong you are financially or professionally, ultimately you are a girl and you have to be careful in each step.

Till date I’ve not shared this with my mom, with the fear of being objected whenever I want to go out. And, as I said earlier, hardly any of my closest friends know this. Girls and boys, do educate yourself on how well these situations can be avoided. As for me, without any mistake of mine, I had to endure this and I still feel the chilling fear, but for you who read this, it is a QUESTION MARK ?

Some pointers on how this could have been avoided. (An addition on suggestion by my friend Dinakkar)

1. The guy wouldn’t have dared to do what he did, if I were in a group.
2. He wouldn’t have done this if the street was crowded or even if few people were scattered here and there.
3. If I did not get deep into the conversation and was conscious of what is happening, I could have stepped away and avoided it myself.

मुश्किलात होते तो सामना कर लेते
डूबते वक़्त दरिया पार भी कर लेते,
पर इन इत्तेफाकों का क्या, जिसका
इत्तेफाक से भी इक्तिला नहीं होता????
Mushkilaat hote to saamna kar lete,
Doobte vaqt dariya paar bhi kar lete,
Par in ittefakon ka kya, Jiska
ittefak se bhi iktela nahi hota??

ಇಂತಹ ಅವಾಂತರಗಳ ನೀ ಬರಸೆಳೆದೆ....
